Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Feedia ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and stores information when you use the Feedia mobile application.

1. What data we collect

When you sign in and use Feedia, we collect the following information:

• Account information — your name and email address, obtained through Google Sign-In.
• Subscriptions — the RSS feeds you subscribe to within the app.
• Saved articles — articles you choose to save for later reading.
• Viewed articles — a record of articles you have opened, used to avoid showing you the same content repeatedly.

2. Why we collect it

This data is collected solely to provide the core functionality of the app:

• To identify your account and keep your data available across devices and sessions.
• To personalise your feed based on the sources you subscribe to.
• To remember which articles you have saved and which you have already seen.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

3. Where data is stored

Your data is stored on the following third-party infrastructure:

• Supabase — used for authentication (sign-in via Google). Supabase stores your Google account identity securely. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• DigitalOcean — our backend server and database run on DigitalOcean's cloud infrastructure in the EU. Your subscriptions, saved articles, and viewed-article records are stored here. See DigitalOcean's Privacy Policy.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your data is not shared with any party other than Supabase and DigitalOcean as described above, and only to the extent required to operate the app.

5. Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your subscriptions, saved articles, and viewed-article history — is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — contact us at the address below and we will provide a summary of what we hold.
• Delete your account and all associated data — this can be done directly inside the app via Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
• Correct inaccurate data — contact us and we will update it.

7. Children

Feedia is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
